The 5 Principles of Amateurism™

Amateurism is the jurisdiction held by the collegiate athletic associations to determine a collegiate athlete ineligible to compete in their competitions or tournaments including accepting Prize Money based on Place Finish. In order to avoid confusion about each athletic associations different governing bylaws over Amateurism, Scholarships 4 Us® formed The 5 Principles of Amateurism that will ensure every potential collegiate athlete maintains their eligibility to compete in their prospective association.

In order for an eligible student to enroll and maintain enrollment in The Scholarships 4 Us® Program the student must answer NO to each of The 5 Principles of Amateurism:

  1. The student has not entered into a verbal or expressed agreement with an agent(s) that may financially profit from their participation, performance, or place finish in a competition or tournament in The Arts, Sports, or Esports

  2. The student has not participated in a professional tryout or signed with a professional team

  3. The student has not accepted any remuneration for participating in a competition or tournament

  4. The student has not accepted prize money based on place finish in a competition or tournament

  5. The student has not agreed to, signed, or received benefits from an NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deal or contract

A former Student-Participant will forfeit their accumulated Prize Funds funded with Prize Money and be considered for investigation and prosecution for fraud if it is plausible that the Student-Participant intentionally did not disclose their compliance to The 5 Principles of Amateurism.
